9 Weeks
So here we are. 9 weeks pregnant with the newest (and last) member of the Parker tribe. So far, this pregnancy has been pretty different than when I was pregnant with Adam. With Adam, I never really felt pregnant (other than getting bigger). It was seriously the easiest pregnancy. I was never tired, never sick, never swollen. The main difference this go around has been that I have been ridiculously tired. I hate naps but I am napping whenever possible. This could also be because I am chasing around a very energetic 2 year old….
The other difference is I started showing immediately! Like, scared I was having twins immediately. I feel like I wasn’t showing until half way through last time and at 9 weeks I am already feeling super pregnant.
I didn’t work out at all last pregnancy (except yoga). I have been working out between 4-5 days a week before I found out I was pregnant and hope to keep it up. The first few weeks I really was slacking at the gym. Partly from being really tired and partly from being a little nervous. But I got the go ahead from my doctor this week and I am now going 3 times a week. It kind of sucks to scale my weights and not push as hard as I used to but I’m figuring it out as I go.
This week I went for my first ultrasound and heard the heartbeat for the first time. The doctor’s exact words were “That’s a girl heartbeat!” I am feeling like it’s a girl at this point but some days I think I am destined to be a boy mom and be surrounded by crazy boys. Luckily, I find out in a few weeks!
The first few weeks brought a lot of anxiety and worry (hence the no working out) but after that appointment I have felt a lot better and more relaxed.
